When I was first diagnosed as a diabetic, I used to joke that I *swore* sugars were injected in to foods!
Some of the biggest offenders for sending my blood sugar skyrocketing were:
~Processed breakfast foods, like toaster strudel, pop tarts, etc.
~Spaghetti sauce at restarants
~Pizza (when the nutrition info wasn't posted)
~Cereals, especially when I tried to eye ball it. Yes, my eyes were ALWAYS inaccurate and it showed when I did my post meal test! That goes for anything, really - but it was always the worst with cereal for me, for some reason.
~Syrup from a squeeze bottle, at a restaurant - also very difficult to measure!
~Many things in vending machines: I remember those cinnamon bun things always causing me to run high, and then finding out that they typically run 40-60% larger than they are supposed to. Mystery solved! Labels are great - but if it looks to good to be true...
What are your repeat offenders?
